Private nurse caring for a child with medical needs:

We are recruiting nurses (RN/LPN) to add to a nursing team caring for a pediatric client (school-aged) in Kamloops BC. This job will entail providing 1:1 respite care in the home environment, caring for a child and providing assistance and support to the parents who are caring for the child with medical needs.

Duties include: medication administration, personal care, assessments, tube feeds, ag-appropriate play with a pre-school age child. (all training is provided).

We are looking for evening or weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

• Current ‘practicing’ registration with BCCNM
• Valid CPR ‘C’ / BLS certification
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
